As the Head of Supply Chain/Supply Chain Director, you will be responsible for overseeing and harmonizing the supply chain function for the organization working closely with the other divisional Supply Chain Heads/Directors. You will ensure the efficient, cost-effective, and timely delivery of products while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in consumer goods manufacturing or automotive supply chains, with a deep understanding of the intricacies of global supply networks, planning forecasting and inventory management, procurement, and logistics.
Lead and develop overall supply chain strategy to align with company goals, driving continuous improvement and best practices across the function.
Oversee procurement, logistics, inventory management, demand planning, and distribution processes to ensure a smooth flow of goods from suppliers to customers.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating contracts and terms to ensure competitive pricing and service excellence.
Identify and implement improvements in supply chain processes, leveraging technology and data analytics to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
Collaborate with other departments, including production, sales, and finance, to align supply chain strategies with business objectives and ensure seamless customer experience.
Proactively identify potential supply chain risks (e.g., disruptions, shortages, cost fluctuations) and develop contingency plans to mitigate these risks.
Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Establish KPIs and track performance metrics, providing leadership with reports on inventory levels, lead times, supplier performance, and cost management.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, while championing sustainable practices within the supply chain to reduce environmental impact.
Qualifications:
8-10 years of experience in supply chain management, with exposure to consumer goods manufacturing or automotive industries.
Proven track record in managing and optimizing complex supply chains across multiple regions and markets.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams and driving change.
Expertise in supply chain software (e.g., ERP, SAP, or similar systems).
Solid knowledge of procurement, logistics, inventory management, and demand planning.
Strong understanding of global supply chain trends, challenges, and solutions, especially in automotive or consumer goods sectors.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree or certifications such as CSCP, Six Sigma is a plus).
Fluency in both German and English (written and spoken); additional European language skills are a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions that positively impact the supply chain.
