At The Better Cat, our mission is to revolutionise the pet food market. And we're doing this at high pace (3x'd monthly revenues in the last year).

We’ve already made waves — including winning the Fressnapf Innovation Award 2024!

Our focus is on the cat segment — the largest and fastest-growing category in pet food.

This is our first Operations hire — you’ll join as our Founding Ops Associate, working directly with the founders to build our operations from the ground up.

Your mission: design smooth processes, automate manual tasks across the supply chain, and create a solid foundation for scaling internationally.

Aufgaben

You’ll work closely with our co-founder Niklas and take on a key role in the team.

• Supply Chain, Logistics & Procurement – Partner with our entire supply chain to power our next growth phase. From setting up supplier contracts to optimising last-mile delivery, there’s plenty to sink your teeth into.
• Automation of Manual Tasks – Eliminate boring, repetitive processes across the company. With LLMs and no-/low-code tools, you’ll get it done fast.
• Inventory Forecasting & Marketing Alignment – Own our inventory forecasting and act as the direct link to the marketing team, ensuring campaigns and stock levels are always in sync.

Qualifikation

You’ll be great at this if you…

• Love turning chaos into order.
• Have 1-2 years experience in supply chain, ops, or process automation
• Enjoy working with tools and systems — from spreadsheets to WMS to no-code automation platforms (e.g. n8n).
• Get things done - you’re used to working in fast-paced environments and able to deliver high-quality outcomes. You are pragmatic and creative in achieving them.Communicate clearly with suppliers, warehouse teams, and colleagues.
• Can multitask - you’re organized and adapt quickly to evolving priorities. You pay attention to detail. You communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Bonus points if you…

• Have worked in D2C, FMCG, or subscription eCommerce.
• Understand APIs, basic coding, or data analytics.
• Have startup experience and like moving quickly.
