The Supplier Relationship Manager (SRM) is responsible for facilities, MRO, and fleet in the EMEA Region.

The SRM will handle significant procurement projects, work closely with all business units and functions, and manage the central fleet for various European countries (Germany, UK, France, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Poland, Netherlands). The role involves supporting local procurement teams and site managers, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures related to supplier engagement, selection, assessment, and development.

This position reports to the Sr. Commodity Manager for Indirect Sourcing, is part of the Global Integrated Supply Team located in Bad Kreuznach, Germany, and is an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  1. Work on KPIs and cost-saving goals, focusing on savings projects, staying updated on emerging technologies, materials, and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation, cost savings, and risk mitigation.
  2. Oversee the implementation of indirect sourcing strategies, manage procurement processes, and ensure compliance.
  3. Handle legal interactions such as NDAs and legal negotiations with suppliers.
  4. Manage supplier relationships by identifying, evaluating, and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers through assessments, meetings, and SBRs.
  5. Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, materials, quality, finance), negotiate contracts, and manage contract administration.
  6. Possess a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in procurement, supply chain, or engineering.
  7. Have 5+ years of experience in sourcing, purchasing, category management, or supplier relationship management.
  8. Have 3+ years of experience in indirect sourcing, focusing on facilities or fleet management.
  9. Proven ability in contract negotiation, cost reduction, and supplier performance improvement.

Fluent in English and German, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environmental Requirements:

  • Ability to travel 25% regionally and internationally.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Preferred qualifications include experience in:

  • Building and maintaining supplier relationships.
  • Adapting, critical thinking, and problem-solving under pressure.
  • Continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.
