The SRM will manage significant procurement projects and work closely with all business units and functions. The role involves managing the central fleet for various countries in Europe (Germany, UK, France, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Poland, Netherlands), handling fleet requests and inventories, and supporting local tactical purchasing teams and site managers. It ensures compliance with policies and procedures related to procurement, supplier assessment, and development.

This position reports to the Sr. Commodity Manager for Indirect Sourcing, is part of the Global Integrated Supply Team based in Bad Kreuznach, Germany, and is an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  1. Work on KPIs and cost-saving goals, focusing on savings projects, emerging technologies, and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation, cost savings, and risk mitigation.
  2. Oversee the implementation of the indirect procurement strategy, manage procurement processes, and ensure compliance.
  3. Handle legal interactions, such as NDAs and other legal matters with suppliers.
  4. Manage supplier relationships by evaluating potential suppliers, conducting assessments, attending meetings, and maintaining relationships via SBRs.
  5. Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, materials, quality, finance), negotiate and manage contracts.
  6. Possess a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in procurement, supply chain, or engineering.
  7. Have 5+ years of experience in sourcing, purchasing, category management, or supplier relationship management.
  8. Have 3+ years of experience in indirect sourcing, focusing on facilities or fleet management.
  9. Proven track record of negotiating contracts, reducing costs, and improving supplier performance.

Fluent in English and German with excellent communication skills.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environmental Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel 25% regionally and internationally.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Preferred qualifications include experience in:

  • Building and maintaining supplier relationships.
  • Adapting, critical thinking, and problem-solving under pressure.
  • Continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.
