Develop and implement quality assurance processes for incoming parts, ensuring full compliance with both industry and Canyon standards.
Define inspection plans, evaluate supplier production approvals (PPAP/RFMP), and drive smooth product ramp-up.
Take ownership of quality topics for specific suppliers and serve as their main point of contact.
When issues arise, you’ll coordinate fast and effective containment actions, raise complaints, and guide the 8D problem-solving process.
Travel to supplier sites as needed to conduct product and process audits, verify corrective actions, and support improvement efforts.
Track and document the cost of supplier-related quality issues, ensuring cost recovery where appropriate.
Establish KPIs, lead supplier evaluations, and support the development of long-term quality improvement plans.
Represent Canyon confidently in the supply chain and provide guidance or training to our partners where needed.
A technical degree in mechanical engineering, materials science, industrial engineering, or a related field.
Hands-on experience in quality management—ideally with methods like APQP, FMEA, SPC, PPAP, 8D, Six Sigma, or lean tools.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, along with the ability to facilitate root cause workshops.
A detail-oriented mindset and a high standard for accuracy and precision.
Confidence in using SAP (or other ERP/QA systems) and the full Microsoft Office suite.
