The Baumholder Child Development Center in Germany seeks qualified candidates for a Child Development position. Education should include a Bachelor’s degree or higher in child development or related fields, or 24 semester hours with relevant experience.

Six months supervising caregivers and classroom leadership are required, along with proven communication skills. Experience implementing a structured curriculum and managing child/youth programs is expected, with strong verbal communication

• 24 semester hours in the stated majors plus appropriate experience.
• Six months experience supervising or leading caregivers within child/youth facility-based programs.
• Experience managing in a classroom setting within child and youth programs.
• Experience implementing and overseeing a structured child and youth program curriculum.
• Demonstrated verbal communication skills gained through conducting training, delivering presentations, conducting meetings with parents and/or staff, or similar.

Jobbeschreibung

This position is located at a Child Development Center (CDC) in Baumholder, Germany.

Morale Welfare and Recreation Child and Youth Services (CYS) Employee Childcare Fee applicable to employees working at least 15 hours per week:

• First Child: 100% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees)
• Second and Subsequent Child: 25% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees

A qualified candidate must possess the following:

Education: Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in child development, early childhood education, elementary or secondary education, home economics (early childhood emphasis), elementary education, special education, or other fields appropriate to the position.

- For positions in Child Development Facilities: The education must have been in child development, early childhood education, home economics (early childhood emphasis), elementary education, special education or other fields appropriate to the position to be filled such as directly related behavioral science.

OR

A combination of education and experience.

Education: 24 semester hours in the majors stated above or a related field (see above), plus appropriate experience.

Experience: Candidate must also possess all of the following:

1. Six months experience supervising or leading caregivers within child/youth facility-based programs.
2. Experience managing in a classroom setting within child and youth programs.
3. Experience implementing and overseeing a structured child and youth program curriculum.
4. Demonstrated verbal communication skills gained through conducting training, delivering presentations, conducting meetings with parents and/or staff, or similar.
