PT Merdeka Copper Gold Mining Company is an Indonesian mining company which operates in copper and gold mining, and has a long-term expected mine life followed by processing stockpiles.
To support our Mining Operational and expansion project, we are looking for highly motivated and experienced professionals to fill the following position:
Supervisor Carpenter
What skills and experience do you need?
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or relevant engineering discipline.
- At least 7 years of related experience as a Supervisor Carpenter in the mining industry, with an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- License or certification for working at height, scaffolding, and POP.
- Proven experience supervising and inspecting all mining facilities, infrastructure, installations, and equipment. Conduct inspections, investigations, and assessments of mining facilities, infrastructure, installations, and equipment before utilization, after reassembly, and/or repair.
- Certified Competency for Frontline Operational Supervisor of OHS and Mine Environment from DEMR.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; effective communication, problem detection, and resolution skills are essential.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, and computer literate.
Some of your duties will include:
- Supervising and directing the activities of company maintenance (Civil and Carpenter) personnel.
- Ensuring that adequate resources are available to meet production and maintenance needs.
- Reporting all accidents and incidents in the work group to enable management to identify areas for improvement in work practices.
- Communicating work group status to supervisor and interfacing with other departments.
- Supervising employees of the unit/work group to ensure that all jobs are completed to the required standard.
- Planning the daily work schedule and ordering materials and parts required to meet client needs and use resources efficiently.
- Liaising with and coordinating field and workshop activities with other maintenance supervisors, planners, and production personnel to resolve problems and set maintenance priorities.
- Scheduling work orders, preventive maintenance, equipment, employee vacations, and training.
- Identifying training needs and recommending on-the-job training or basic training programs to improve work group effectiveness and safety.
