To support our EPC Project – Mill Process Fixed Plant Expansion, we require a highly motivated and experienced professional who can adapt to a dynamic and high-pressure environment to fill the following position:
Superintendent Construction – Infrastructure & Utilities (EPC Fixed Plant)
Key responsibilities include:
- Engage with the project team for site-specific due diligence activities and provide negotiation guidance to mitigate risks, maximize value, and ensure workplace and schedule requirements are met.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of designated projects to ensure goals are achieved within prescribed timelines.
- Manage Pre-Construction/Due Diligence & Field Construction processes for renovation, remodeling, and new construction projects, including scheduling, communication with consultants and contractors, progress tracking, report review, and recommending actions for project completion.
- Oversee project budgeting from inception through construction, utilizing historical data, industry/geographical cost indices, and scope analysis.
- Maintain and update project schedules using company software.
- Identify and minimize risks related to procurement, value engineering, and cost reduction throughout project lifecycles.
- Coordinate external communications with design consultants, permit expediters, landlords, utility companies, and city officials during various project phases.
- Support design and procurement teams in reducing timelines and increasing productivity from development to final review.
- Lead operational rollout initiatives and ensure accountability in cross-functional meetings.
- Prepare and present regular project status reports.
- Collaborate with third-party manufacturers/distributors to ensure timely production and shipping.
Qualifications and experience required include:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical Engineering, with postgraduate certifications in Project Management.
- Minimum of 12+ years in a similar role managing field construction projects, preferably involving Mill Expansion or Processing Plant Construction.
- Experience in ground-up construction, with industry experience in EPC or processing plants preferred.
- Operational and capital project management experience exceeding 15 years, managing large-scale projects (> $500M Capex) in brownfield environments.
- At least 5 years of commercial experience in project evaluation, management, business development, or strategic planning.
- Hands-on site construction management experience with responsibilities for HSE, cost, schedule, and quality KPIs.
- Knowledge of Earned Value Management in mineral processing projects.
- Ability to interpret architectural, MEP, and structural drawings.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, and proficiency in computer applications.
- Strong leadership, organizational, scheduling, and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

- Demonstrated problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills.
