Jobbeschreibung

At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people. From high-speed trains, metros, monorails, and trams to turnkey systems, services, infrastructure, signalling, and digital mobility, we offer our diverse customers the broadest portfolio in the industry. Every day, 80,000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.

Could you be the full-time Sub-System Manager (Control and Information System) (f/m/d) in Mannheim, Germany, we're looking for?

Your Future Role

In Mannheim, over 1,000 colleagues from 36 countries work together to develop locomotives, signal, and propulsion technology for vehicles deployed regionally and in the rolling stock & components product line. Our focus is on green and smart solutions, including emission-free propulsion systems such as batteries. You will report to RALF HECKMANN, Head of RSC TRAXX Train Control PM, and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.

We look for you to:

  • Lead and coordinate sub-system activities and stakeholders from requirement capture/analysis to the end of project contractual obligations within the sub-system scope of work.
  • Manage cross-functional stakeholder activities and deliverables at the sub-system level, making necessary arbitration to meet QCDP (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Planning) commitments.
  • Coordinate and synchronize sub-system activities with other sub-systems and project teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
  • Utilize technical project management experience across relevant phases in the V-model lifecycle.
  • Maintain awareness of processes for project and product development, including railway or other safety-regulated industry norms and certifications.
  • Apply functional and system/software engineering knowledge to optimize project outcomes.

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. We don't expect you to have every skill listed, but some that will help you succeed include:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of functional and system/software engineering.
  • At least 2 years of experience in technical project management within the V-model lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of project and product development processes, especially in safety-regulated industries.
  • Effective communication skills with a knack for accountability.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team focused on customer satisfaction.

Things You'll Enjoy

Join us on a transformative journey in the rail industry, where you'll grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. Benefits include:

  • A dynamic work environment with a permanent position at a leading company for green mobility.
  • Competitive remuneration (IG Metall), 30 days of vacation, and benefits like pension plans and subsidized Deutschlandticket.
  • Flexible working hours and hybrid work models to promote work-life balance.
  • Opportunities for growth across functions and countries.
  • Excellent training via Alstom University and participation in innovation programs.
  • A modern, collaborative workplace with diversity & inclusion initiatives, CSR activities, and engaging events.
  • Comprehensive health management programs.

Access to corporate benefits

You don't need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. When you ride our trains with friends or family, you'll be proud. If you're ready for the challenge, we'd love to hear from you!
