Description

The opportunity: We are seeking a Subcontract Manager for the SuedLink DC4 project. This project involves the construction of an extra-high voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission link between Wilster in Schleswig-Holstein and Bergrheinfeld in Bavaria. As a Subcontract Manager in Wilster, Schleswig-Holstein, you will be responsible for the commercial management and administration of all subcontracting contracts for construction and installation work.

How you''ll make an impact

1. Responsible for the commercial processing of contracts between Hitachi and subcontractors for construction and installation work, in collaboration with various departments — from initial tendering and award discussions to kick-off meetings and ongoing project handling
2. Oversee and support the entire project lifecycle, including reporting, to ensure smooth execution and successful completion of subcontractor services
3. You organize and conduct kick-off meetings as well as regular on-site meetings with subcontractors and the Hitachi Energy project team
4. You ensure that all subcontractors and Hitachi Energy comply with and fulfill their contractual obligations
5. You prepare and participate in Constructability Reviews, which are led by the Project C&C Manager (PCCM)

Your background

• You have a Bachelor''s or Master''s degree in civil/electrical engineering or equivalent technical qualifications
• You speak German and English fluently
• You have experience in assessing contractors’ compliance with international standards, laws and regulations
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office
• You preferably have experience with AVA software and SAP4/HANA
• A proactive mindset in planning and executing activities characterizes you
• You are characterized by strong negotiating skills and are very communicative
• Willingness to work on-site at the construction site
• You hold a valid driving license and have access to your own vehicle, ensuring flexibility and mobility
