An innovative sustainability-focused organization in Berlin is looking for two student assistants to support the Bauhaus Earth project on bamboo-based construction. Responsibilities include conducting literature reviews, analyzing data relevant to Indonesian markets, and collaborating with a diverse team. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in applied research within an interdisciplinary team, with a focus on regenerative solutions for the built environment. The role offers 20 hours per week, starting mid-January 2026, at a compensation of €14.59 per hour.
The Bauhaus Earth project “Scaling Regenerative Construction: Feasibility Study for Accelerating Bamboo-based Building Products in Indonesia” aims to validate the potential of bamboo for construction while developing a strategy to scale up nature-based construction products and systems. The goal is to enable large-scale market adoption across a broad range of applications.
The study is guided by a long‑term vision of supporting Indonesia’s transition towards becoming a global leader in regenerative construction, using regionally sourced materials—particularly bamboo, given its wide availability and ecological potential.
We are looking to fill two student assistant positions for this project.
The student assistants will support the project team in research, documentation, coordination, and knowledge management activities. This is an opportunity to contribute to a pioneering regenerative project at the intersection of climate action, social innovation, and transformation in the construction sector.
You will work closely with the Bauhaus Earth project team, international partners, and Indonesian stakeholders, including universities, NGOs, government ministries, and local enterprises.
