Overview

At the Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology ILT, we design technologies and processes for the future of digital production, packaging and scanning technology and many other laser-based applications, e.g. 3D printing and Laser fusion. The Surface Structuring department specializes in the micro- and nanostructuring of surfaces in order to develop innovative solutions for surface structuring.

What you will do
  • You will be familiarized with the process and system technology of material processing with laser radiation
  • You will be responsible for planning and carrying out experiments independently
  • You will be responsible for analyzing the process results
  • In addition, you will support us in the evaluation, processing and documentation of the results
What you bring to the table
  • You are studying mechanical engineering, physics, materials science, natural sciences or engineering
  • You are characterized by a reliable and independent way of working
  • You also have good language skills in German and/or English

Remuneration is based on the general works agreement on the employment of temporary staff. The weekly working hours are between 12 and 20 hours and will be agreed individually during the interview. The position is initially limited to 12 months, but the aim is to offer longer-term employment alongside your studies.
