Responsibilities:

1. Contribute to desk PnL through identifying, implementing, and executing profitable trading strategies in the structured products space.
2. Work with other traders and analysts to generate new ideas and strategies.
3. Develop and maintain a strong market view on European energy markets (power, gas, emissions) to support directional and volatility-based trading strategies.
4. Pitch strategies to senior trading management for risk capital allocation.
5. Work with origination or brokers to execute strategies in the external markets.
6. Be position and PnL owner throughout the entire product lifecycle.
7. Work with quants to ensure the best possible pricing approach. Work with risk to ensure maximum transparency on inherent risk and PnL.

Qualifications:

1. Relevant trading experience and a strong PnL track record.
2. Detailed understanding of European energy markets and interaction of commodities/markets.
3. Strong understanding of structured products, pricing models, and sound quantitative skills.
4. Technical skills such as Python or other and database skills are a plus.
5. Excellent analytical and communication skills.
6. Demonstrates soft skills to guide colleagues and take a leading role in the team.
7. Able to manage yourself and your time to work under pressure and be a highly reliable contact.
