Responsibilities:
- Contribute to desk PnL through identifying, implementing, and executing profitable trading strategies in the structured products space.
- Work with other traders and analysts to generate new ideas and strategies.
- Develop and maintain a strong market view on European energy markets (power, gas, emissions) to support directional and volatility-based trading strategies.
- Pitch strategies to senior trading management for risk capital allocation.
- Work with origination or brokers to execute strategies in the external markets.
- Be position and PnL owner throughout the entire product lifecycle.
- Work with quants to ensure the best possible pricing approach. Work with risk to ensure maximum transparency on inherent risk and PnL.
Qualifications:
- Relevant trading experience and a strong PnL track record.
- Detailed understanding of European energy markets and interaction of commodities/markets.
- Strong understanding of structured products, pricing models, and sound quantitative skills.
- Technical skills such as Python or other and database skills are a plus.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Demonstrates soft skills to guide colleagues and take a leading role in the team.
- Able to manage yourself and your time to work under pressure and be a highly reliable contact.
