Responsibilities

• Contribute to desk PnL by identifying, implementing, and executing profitable trading strategies in the structured products space.
• Work with other traders and analysts to generate new ideas and strategies.
• Develop and maintain a strong market view on European energy markets (power, gas, emissions) to support directional and volatility-based trading strategies.
• Pitch strategies to senior trading management for risk capital allocation.
• Work with origination or brokers to execute strategies in the external markets.
• Be the position and PnL owner throughout the entire product lifecycle.
• Collaborate with quants to ensure the best possible pricing approach.
• Work with risk management to ensure maximum transparency on inherent risk and PnL.

Qualifications

• Relevant trading experience and a strong PnL track record.
• Detailed understanding of European energy markets and interaction of commodities/markets.
• Strong understanding of structured products, pricing models, and sound quantitative skills.
• Technical skills such as Python or other programming languages, and database skills are a plus.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Soft skills to guide colleagues and take a leading role in the team.
• Ability to manage yourself and your time to work under pressure and be a reliable contact.
