OHB System AG in Bremen is seeking a Structural Engineer (m/f/d) to develop and verify satellite structures and to support system engineering in structural analyses.

You will define requirements, supervise sub-contractors, and perform extensive static, dynamic and thermo-elastic analyses, contributing to innovative space projects with a leading European research focus.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering with focus on Structural Engineering.
• Experience in the development of satellite structures is an advantage.
• Knowledge of static, dynamic, acoustic and thermo-elastic analyses.
• Knowledge and experience with structural analysis software, such as Hyperworks, NASTRAN, is an advantage.
• Fluent in English reading and writing.
• Strong sense of responsibility.
• Organized, structured and target-oriented.
• Business travel willingness.

Aufgaben

• Develop structural concepts for satellites.
• Define structural requirements.
• Supervise, monitor and technically control sub-contractors for structural components.
• Responsible for structural sizing, coordination and conduction of structural analyses, documentation and presenting results.
• Perform static, dynamic and thermo-elastic analyses.
• Define and support structural verification tests, including test specification, test prediction, test conductance and test evaluation.
• Provide technical support for system engineering in the domain of structural analysis.
