OHB Digital Connect GmbH (a subsidiary of OHB SE) is seeking a Service Engineer (m/f/d) for a 24-month temporary assignment in Mainz. The role focuses on planning and delivering assembly concepts, coordinating installation activities on-site, and providing global engineering support for installation, commissioning and service.

Applicants should hold a Civil/Mechanical/Plant Engineering degree and demonstrate experience in structural steel projects, CAD tools and project management.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Plant Engineering or a comparable field.
• Experience in planning and execution of structural steel, mechanical engineering, or industrial plant projects with knowledge of design, structural analysis and engineering principles.
• Proficiency in MS Office, engineering and planning software, and CAD tools, plus understanding of project management principles.
• Structured and analytical working style with excellent communication, coordination and teamwork skills and a strong problem-solving mindset.
• Good written and spoken German and English; willingness to travel nationally and internationally.

Aufgaben

• Develop and plan cost-effective assembly concepts, installation equipment and support structures in close cooperation with engineering and project teams.
• Plan, coordinate and optimize all assembly activities and workflows to ensure safe, efficient and timely execution on site.
• Define, procure and oversee installation aids and assembly equipment to guarantee quality, safety and precision during execution.
• Support execution planning activities and ensure successful implementation of assembly concepts at national and international project sites.
• Monitor costs, schedules and progress within the assigned scope and contribute to continuous improvement of assembly processes.
• Independently provide engineering support for worldwide installation, commissioning and service activities, acting as the technical on-site contact.

Your Tasks

• Develop and plan cost-effective assembly concepts, installation equipment, and support structures in close cooperation with relevant engineering and project teams
• Plan, coordinate, and optimize all assembly activities and workflows to ensure safe, efficient, and timely execution on site

Your Qualifications

• Successfully completed degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Plant Engineering, or a comparable field
• Experience in the planning and execution of structural steel, mechanical engineering, or industrial plant projects, with solid knowledge of design, structural analysis, and engineering principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, engineering and planning software, and industry-standard CAD tools, combined with a good understanding of project management principles
• Structured and analytical working style with excellent communication, coordination, and teamwork skills, as well as a strong problem-solving mindset
• Professional and confident presence, high reliability, determination, and a strong focus on quality, cost efficiency, and results
• Good written and spoken German and English skills, along with willingness to travel nationally and internationally as required
