ZEISS, a leading supplier of optical and optoelectronic technologies, is bundling units outside the divisions in the Photonics & Optics strategic business unit that offer customers a wide range of optical and photonic technologies in highly specialized markets around the world: mobile imaging, hunting & nature, cinematography, microoptics, spectroscopy, planetariums and simulation projection solutions.
The Strategy Manager for Brand Partnerships in the Business Unit Mobile Imaging is responsible for developing and executing strategic brand partnership initiatives to enhance ZEISS brand visibility within the consumer products sector, specifically in photography and imaging fields. This role involves identifying market opportunities, fostering relationships with existing Brand Partnerships (e.g., vivo / Sony), and driving collaborative projects aligned with the Business Unit's goals.
Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the mobile imaging market segment, focusing on key markets, products, customers, and competition to analyze market developments, business potential, and identify trends and opportunities for ZEISS.
Foster collaboration with international colleagues to capitalize on global brand collaboration opportunities, focusing on key growth markets such as China.
Successfully partner with existing Brand Partners (especially vivo) and explore potential new product categories.
Support leadership in negotiation strategies to manage partnership agreements, assist with creation and management of license/collaboration agreements, ensuring mutual benefits and long-term collaboration.
Lead and manage collaborative projects with Brand Partnerships (mainly vivo) and involved ZEISS Business Units, ensuring timely and successful execution.
Represent ZEISS on business trips worldwide as a brand spokesperson, including partnership meetings and launch events for co-branded products.
Coordinate interdisciplinary teams without a formal leadership role and manage internal and external agencies.
Minimum qualifications:
Master’s degree in international business/economics, ideally with a focus on branding, marketing, or communication.
Several years of relevant professional experience in strategic planning, strategic communication, and marketing, especially in branding and brand management for a premium brand; consulting experience is a plus.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Entrepreneurial mindset, open-mindedness, and goal-oriented with a “get-things-done” attitude.
Business fluency in English (written and spoken); Chinese language skills are advantageous.
Willingness to travel internationally up to 10-15%.
