Your Job

What This Role Looks Like.

  1. Developing and continuously updating the strategic direction for IPO Buying, considering global market trends, internal requirements and technological developments
  2. Monitoring and managing the implementation of the strategy by clearly defining targets, regularly tracking progress and deriving concrete measures to achieve targets
  3. Conducting market research and scouting with a focus on innovations in line with IPO Buying strategies
  4. Gaining in-depth insights into technology-driven business and market trends, mapping them to optimise the IPO Buying strategy and identify potential business opportunities
  5. Advising stakeholders on potential business opportunities related to digital transformation and providing regular insights to product lines and the IPO Strategy Lead
  6. Collaborating extensively both inside and outside of IPO Buying to assess the applicability of trends
  7. Working with Business Analysts, Product Line Analysts and Product Owners to support process optimisation and automation initiatives
  8. Regularly liaising with the Architecture team to support the collaborative analysis required for the ALDI “Tech Radar”
Your Profile

What You Bring With You.

  1. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, economics, IT, engineering or a related field
  2. Entrepreneurial mindset and a solid understanding of IPO Buying strategies and organisational goals
  3. Proven research and scouting skills, with an affinity for innovative technologies and industry trends
  4. Talent for analysing and summarising findings as well as deriving valuable insights from them
  5. Ability to think in abstract terms; exceptional stakeholder management
  6. Effective communication skills and the ability to articulate complex ideas across organisational levels
Desirable extras.

  1. Experience with strategic innovation management in a commercial context
  2. Knowledge of digital transformation processes and their business applications
  3. Technical expertise or background in technology-related fields is an advantage
  4. German language skills are a plus
