As an operations planner, you’re passionate about exploring the root cause of an issue and then analyzing, reporting, and developing recommendations for a creative solution. We need an experienced research analyst and operations planner like you to help us solve complex problems for our clients. On our team, you’ll support the command’s Theater Campaign Plans (TCPs), Theater Campaign Orders (TCOs), order development, crises action planning, manpower, and other planning and processes development transitioning plans to operations. Staff action consists of attending local conferences, briefs, and working with Operational Planning Teams (OPTs) at the COCOM level and below.

You’ll also provide the headquarters staff with subject matter expertise related to one or more functional areas such as ground operations, aviation operations, amphibious operations, pre-positioning operations, noncombatant evacuation operations (NEOs), communications, communications strategy and public affairs, force protection, logistics, intelligence, manning, preventive medicine, reception, staging, onward movement, and integration (RSO & I), strategic mobility, training, JOPES, and general military planning in the decision-making process. You will maintain appropriate entries in programs of record such as SOCIUM, and review, refine, coordinate, and develop military operations orders related to the manning, organization, deployment, mission assurance, employment, support, sustainment, and redeployment of marine forces in support of crisis response and contingency operations. You'll plan and coordinate military-to-military activities, security cooperation events, and multi- and bi-lateral service component exercises such as Title 10. You'll provide current operations support as a member of the Command Center watch team on an as-required basis.

You Have:

  • Experience using Microsoft Office suite of programs, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience with the military, or 15+ years of experience with the military in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience with joint exercise planning at the service component or combatant command level
  • Experience with Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF) concepts
  • Experience with Joint operations, the Joint Training System, and the Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS)
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, contract-specific affordability, and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800 to $198,000 (annualized USD). This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
