Qualifikationen

• Mindestens 6 Jahre Erfahrung als Buchhalter, idealerweise in einem schnell wachsenden Umfeld.
• Starke Kenntnisse in DATEV sind erforderlich.
• Erfahrung in der Führung komplexer Buchhaltungsstrukturen, einschließlich Joint Ventures.

Our Finance team is looking for a commercially driven, strategically thinking and experienced Strategic Senior Accountant to lead, under direct supervision of the department Head, the accounting aspects of our business. Your Responsibilities

As a Strategic Senior Accountant (d/f/m), you will take a central role in designing and leading the accounting functions for Entrix and Flexa (a joint venture of Entrix & ENPAL). This is a unique opportunity to build processes and standards from the ground up, driving innovation and efficiency at every step. You will have the authority to set best practices, introduce scalable solutions, and implement future-ready workflows that support our ambitious growth. Core Responsibilities:

• Monthly Close: Own and improve closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, depreciation, and updates to Chart of Accounts/Cost Centers.
• Accounting Advisory: Research complex topics and provide clear, reliable guidance.
• VAT Management: Handle VAT refund claims and explore structures that optimize liquidity.
• AP/AR Oversight: Manage and follow up on accounts payable/receivable internally and externally.
• Consolidation & JVs: Consolidate financials for both domestic and international entities.
• Annual Reports & Tax: Take full ownership of financial report submissions and related tax matters.
• International Accounting Research: Lead initial research on international tax/accounting issues and coordinate with local partners.
• Strategic Reporting: Support investor and management reporting, including due diligence.

Your Profile

Mandatory Requirements:

6+ years of experience as an accountant, ideally in a high-growth fast paced environment

Degree in Accounting, Business, or a similar quantitative field

German HGB Certification

Strong experience and knowledge of DATEV (be the “go-to” person)

Proven track record of strategic financial thinking and autonomous working style

Business proficiency (C1) in both German and English

Skills to Set You Apart

Experience in high-growth startups or scale-ups

Proven experience leading complex accounting set-ups, with JVs, Subsidiaries abroad, and rather complex transactions (for example, negative prices on commodities etc)

Strong understanding of FP&A processes and its success factors

Payroll experience is a plus but not required.

In 2020, I was nominated a “Global Trade Leader” by the Hinrich Foundation, and was given a merit-based scholarship to pursue my MBA at INSEAD in Singapore.

Post-MBA, I moved to Switzerland and joined RBI (a 3G Capital Private Equity Investment Portfolio Company), where I served in advisory and eventually headed the Strategic Finance for EMEA region.

I have worked & studied in Greece, Germany, Netherlands, France, Belgium, Singapore and Switzerland over the last 15 years. I am actively involved in the Swiss Startup Nights Association, but love hiking and traveling when time permits!
