Helmholtz Biomedical Engineering Initiative | Strategic Partnerships, Training & Funding
The Helmholtz Association is Germany’s largest scientific research organization and one of Europe’s leading research institutions, advancing world-class research in health, energy, environment and cutting-edge technologies. The Helmholtz Biomedical Engineering Initiative unites ten Helmholtz Centres to advance biomedical engineering at the intersection of engineering, life sciences, medicine and clinical translation. By combining complementary expertise across centres, the Initiative seeks to accelerate technological innovation, strengthen interdisciplinary training and foster the translation of scientific discoveries into solutions for human health.
To support its strategic development and long-term sustainability, we seek a highly motivated Strategic Program Manager (f/m/x) to help develop partnerships and attract competitive funding for research and training programs from regional, national and European sources. Building on our strong track record of successful funding acquisition, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the Initiative’s future development, visibility and impact, working closely with leading scientists and stakeholders across Helmholtz.
If you fulfill all the requirements, you may be eligible for a salary grade of up to E 13. Social benefits are based on the Collective Wage Agreement for Public-Sector Employees (TVöD). The position has an (initial) fixed term of 2 years but may be extended under certain circumstances.
The Helmholtz Biomedical Engineering Initiative combines interdisciplinary skills from natural sciences, engineering and medicine to invent, innovate, and advance technological solutions that enable individualized precision measurements and processing of biological information for the promotion of heathcare.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact Dr. Thomas Schwarz-Romond, +49 89 31871822.
Our recruiting is decentralized - your application will be reviewed continuously (e.g. on an incoming basis) and directly by the specialist department in which you could work in the future.
We are committed to promoting a culture of diversity and welcome applications from talented people regardless of gender, cultural background, nationality, ethnicity, sexual identity, physical abilities, religion or age. Qualified applicants with physical disabilities will be given preference.
