We are searching for an experienced and forward-thinking Strategic Procurement Manager (m/f/d) (Software) with a main focus on Software and related IT-Services to lead strategic sourcing initiatives globally in a rapidly evolving digital landscape. This role is pivotal in driving innovation, AI adoption, and digital transformation through effective stakeholder collaboration and high-performing supplier partnerships. You will play a key role in aligning sourcing strategies with cutting-edge technologies and future-facing business goals.
Your contribution:
Take charge of both Direct and Indirect IT spending, emphasizing Software and IT Services. Ensure that procurement practices support strategic business initiatives and drive efficiency across departments.
Promote end-to-end sourcing processes for IT spending, delivering value beyond financial contribution. Understand and translate business requirements into effective sourcing strategies that enable innovation and support digital growth.
Lead contract negotiations and framework agreements with major IT vendors while driving bundling and optimization projects across regions to ensure alignment with procurement, finance, IT, and CGM’s transformation goals.
Engage with various functions, including internal IT, product management, and sales, to align procurement strategies with overall business goals. Facilitate complex sourcing strategies to meet diverse organizational needs effectively.
Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with suppliers while overseeing the complete source-to-contract process. Leverage expertise in negotiating high-value contracts to secure beneficial agreements, ultimately fostering long-lasting relationships with both suppliers and internal stakeholders
What you bring along:
Several years of procurement experience in the IT, Software, and Technology sectors, with significant international and cross-functional exposure in a global matrix organization. In-depth knowledge of SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, cloud platforms, licensing models, service-level agreements (SLAs), and essential legal clauses in IT contracts.
Proven track record of negotiating large-scale strategic contracts with leading software vendors, resellers, and IT providers, successfully implementing strategic projects with recognized companies such as Microsoft, VMware, Atlassian, AWS, Adobe, Oracle, SAP, Salesforce, Software One, and CDW.
Strong solution-oriented and outgoing personality, with the capability to independently engage daily with internal leaders to optimize global procurement strategies effectively.
A completed degree in business administration, IT, or procurement, with full professional proficiency in English and upper-intermediate German skills, complemented by a willingness to improve language abilities ( additional languages considered a plus).
Strong analytical capabilities with proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with procurement management systems. Proactive, organized, and skilled in problem-solving, supported by exceptional communication abilities for effective collaboration across diverse teams and stakeholders.
