Strategic Purchasing with vision

With analytical thinking, personal responsibility and strong communication skills, you will make a significant contribution to successful procurement. As a Strategic Buyer for Aviation Systems at our client Airbus Operations GmbH in Hamburg Finkenwerder, you will design processes efficiently and build strong business relationships.

The gross annual salary is between 77,400 and max. 80,500 €, depending on qualifications. Please note that we can only consider candidates who have a valid, unrestricted work permit for the EU.

Job description
Tasks
  • Execution of procurement activities in the area of Cabin Purchasing for Fabrics & Emergency Equipment
  • Securing and maintaining contractual framework agreements with suppliers to ensure optimal purchasing conditions
  • Support in bid submissions and contract negotiations to meet company requirements
  • Monitoring of supplier contracts throughout the entire product life cycle in close cooperation with internal departments
  • Ensuring supplier performance fulfillment in terms of quality, logistics, costs and support
  • Management of daily supplier relationships for continuous optimization of customer benefits and risk minimization
  • Collaboration on projects for contract documentation of Airbus requirements in the area of Cargo Loading & Emergency Equipment
  • Active participation in improvement measures and adjustments in the procurement process
Requirements
  • Degree in aerospace, industrial engineering, business administration or economics
  • Several years of professional experience in purchasing, supplier management, contract management as well as supply chain / logistics and project management
  • Very good expertise in MS Excel and MS Word as well as practical experience with Google Workspace
  • Business fluent in German and English (at least C1 level each)
  • Willingness to occasionally travel worldwide
  • An existing, unrestricted work permit for the EU (not a student visa) is mandatory
