Zusammenfassung

Mynaric is seeking a Strategic Buyer to own the sourcing strategy for electronics, PCBA, harnesses, interconnects, and photonics. Your decisions will shape cost structure and the product roadmap, driving make-or-buy trade-offs and contract framing.

You will build category strategies, run RFQs, negotiate long-term agreements, and ensure supply continuity while mitigating obsolescence and single-source risks. This is an on-site role with a global dimension.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in electrical engineering, electronics, photonics, supply chain, or business.
• Proven track record leading strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Experience with RFQs, supplier selection, and negotiations.
• Experience with make-or-buy assessments and cost modeling.
• Strong understanding of component lifecycle, obsolescence and risk.
• International sourcing experience is a plus.

• Maintain roadmaps and risk registers; support transfer to series purchasing.

As Strategic Buyer, you'll own the sourcing strategy for electronic components, PCBAs, harnesses, interconnect, and photonics. Your decisions directly shape our cost structure and product roadmap. You'll drive make-or-buy trade-off, frame contracts, cut supply risk, and keep us ahead of obsolescence and single-source of supply.

• Run RFQs, cost breakdowns, and commercial negotiations.
• Negotiate long-term agreements: pricing, capacity, and contract terms.
• Lead supplier evaluation, selection, and qualification with Engineering and Quality.
• Develop second-source and continuity strategies for single-source parts.
• Manage supplier technology roadmaps, lifecycles, and obsolescence risk.
• Monitor supplier performance and own corrective actions.
• Maintain category roadmaps and risk registers; support transfer to series purchasing.

What You Bring With You

• Degree in electrical engineering, electronics, photonics, supply chain, business administration, or similar
• Demonstrated track record of leading strategic sourcing initiatives and managing supplier categories
• Substantial experience leading RFQs, supplier selection, and commercial negotiations, including contract management
• Experience with make-or-buy assessments, cost modeling, and supplier qualification
• Strong understanding of component lifecycle, obsolescence, allocation, and single-source/supply-continuity risk
• Technical fluency in electronics, PCBAs, interconnect, or photonics
• Structured project management skills, with sound judgment balancing cost, technical performance, and risk
• Data-driven, proactive, and able to work independently
• Experience in aerospace, space, defense, automotive, telecom, semiconductor, or similar is a plus
• International sourcing experience preferred; SAP or comparable ERP experience a plus
• Fluent English required, German skills a plus
