Strategic Account Manager

The Strategic Account Manager is a key driver of company revenue and growth. As an experienced and dynamic sales professional, you will lead and drive sales engagements. You are motivated by solving critical challenges facing our customers' secure environment and connecting them with solutions at every stage of threat prevention.

You will be responsible for meeting and exceeding your quota by developing and executing strategic territory plans targeting deployments of Palo Alto Networks' Next Generation Security Platform. This role offers a unique opportunity for a proactive closer with a go-getter mentality to win business and increase market share by actively displacing competing technologies. Your Impact
  • You will drive and orchestrate complex sales cycles, collaborating with internal teams to serve the customer effectively.
  • Your consultative selling experience will help identify business challenges and craft solutions for prospects and existing clients.
  • You will understand the competitive landscape and customer needs to position Palo Alto Networks solutions effectively.
  • Create clear goals and accurate forecasts by developing detailed territory plans.
  • Leverage customer stories to craft compelling value propositions tailored to each account.
  • Stay informed on industry news and trends and understand their impact on our products and services.
  • Travel within your territory and to company meetings as required.
Qualifications: Your Experience
  • Experience and knowledge of SaaS-based architectures, ideally in networking and/or security industries.
  • Proven experience selling complex solutions using value-based and consultative sales techniques, particularly within German Defense and Public Sector accounts.
  • Technical aptitude to understand how technology solutions address business problems.
  • Ability to analyze problems, review data, identify root causes, and develop scalable solutions.
  • Ability to foster relationships with channel partners, adopting a channel-centric go-to-market approach.
  • Deep understanding of the full sales cycle and a structured sales process.
  • Holistic problem-solving skills, considering complex interrelationships and outcomes.
  • Excellent time management, working independently with high autonomy.
  • Proficiency in English and German, with strong communication and presentation skills, both written and spoken.
