This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of DataRobot. We are currently looking for a Staff Software Engineer in Canada, Germany, Ukraine, or Poland.

This is a high-impact engineering role where you will lead the design and delivery of complex, cross-functional systems powering a cutting-edge Generative AI platform. You’ll be at the forefront of technical execution — crafting scalable, secure infrastructure and accelerating product delivery. Working alongside talented peers in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, you’ll shape internal platforms and CI/CD systems that support daily deployments and world-class reliability. This role offers the chance to influence strategic decisions, mentor others, and contribute to a culture of engineering excellence.

Accountabilities:

  • Design and implement scalable internal platforms and services that ensure fast, secure, and reliable software delivery.
  • Lead the development of automation for microservices — improving security, performance, and deployment readiness.
  • Drive technical strategy and execution across highly complex, multi-team initiatives.
  • Enhance CI/CD infrastructure to support more frequent and seamless releases.
  • Define and maintain the technical roadmap for platform engineering in collaboration with architects, SREs, and product managers.
  • Mentor and coach engineers, promote knowledge sharing, and foster a culture of growth and high standards.
  • 7+ years of experience in professional software development, with a strong record of technical leadership.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python and deep hands-on experience with Kubernetes architecture (scheduling, auto-scaling, networking).
  • Expertise in systems design with the ability to balance scalability, maintainability, and performance.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD, observability, DevOps practices, and secure software pipelines.
  • Experience deploying and maintaining containerized applications in multi-cloud environments.
  • Demonstrated success in leading ambiguous, multi-quarter technical projects across multiple teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills and experience influencing decisions and setting direction without formal authority.
