A leading health research institute in Germany is seeking a motivated Staff Scientist for its Core Facility in Flow Cytometry. The role involves implementing new technologies and maintaining advanced equipment. The ideal candidate will have a PhD or Master's in a biomedical field and extensive experience in flow cytometry. Core Facility Flow Cytometry at Helmholtz Munich offers cutting-edge cell sorting and high end phenotyping services to support research within Helmholtz and beyond. We are looking for a highly motivated staff scientist (f/m/x) with deep technological expertise in advanced flow cytometry and a strong commitment to service-oriented work. We are expanding our service by adding spectral- and imaging flow cytometry capabilities and are looking to enhance our team with a skilled expert in spectral flow cytometry. The role reports to the Head of Core Facilities. Our new team member will enjoy working with a wide range researchers in an international and multidisciplinary work environment and have a strong interest in setting up new technologies and tools. The position is initially availalbe for two years and will be filled on a part-time basis (19,5 hrs/week) from 1 January 2026, with a view to extension to a full-time position.
Desirable skills
If you fulfill all the requirements, you may be eligible for a salary grade of up to E 13. Social benefits are based on the Collective Wage Agreement for Public-Sector Employees (TVöD). The position has an (initial) fixed term of 2 years, with the possibility of moving to a permanent contract.
