As a Staff Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for spreading engineering practices within the organization and in the team. You will have the opportunity to work on challenging data-related problems and to have a great impact on the organization. What you’ll do

• Design and develop scalable, fault-tolerant, and high-performance data platform infrastructure using Kubernetes, Docker and IAC.
• Implement and maintain automation tools to simplify the deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of our internal data platform services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to ensure data platform requirements are met.
• Ensure the data platform meets compliance requirements, including data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex technical issues related to the data platform infrastructure.
• Supporting us with moving to a data mesh architecture
• Coaching and mentoring platform engineers in order to support their growth
• Providing solutions for complex business problems, enabling insights that can empower better decision-making

What you’ll bring

• You are a strong platform engineer with hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS.
• You bring proven experience in creating and managing an enterprise-scale platform, while setting best practices for security, privacy, monitoring & alerting, and CI/CD
• You have strong programming skills in one or more programming languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
• You have experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
• You have experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Nagios, Prometheus, or ELK stack.
• You have coached and mentored team members in previous roles.
• You leverage data to prioritize your work and to influence others.
• You have managed senior stakeholders in complex organizations and in changing environments.
• You are willing to implement change and improvements when seeing an opportunity.
