Job Description

We are seeking Staff Data Scientists to join our AdTech data science team, focusing on deep learning, to help us deliver exceptional experiences.

As part of our Vendor Team, you'll drive the success of thousands of restaurants, shops, and local businesses by developing advanced tools to manage their operations, increase visibility, and reach. Your work will foster growth opportunities for businesses of all sizes, strengthening Delivery Hero's ecosystem.

Our AdTech division introduces people to new food and helps our partners connect with future customers at the right moment. We offer advertising solutions that increase restaurant visibility, improve order conversions, and drive sales across over 50 countries. In 2024/25, AdTech aims to generate over 1 billion euros in revenue, with our data science team powering personalization, relevance, and recommendations.

You will lead innovation by designing and deploying models at the forefront of technology, solving complex problems, and contributing to our growth and profitability.

• Spearhead advancements in Ad Tech using cutting-edge tools like neural networks and reinforcement learning for ad ranking, bidding, and pacing, improving campaign performance.
• Analyze large datasets to identify opportunities, employing sophisticated statistical techniques to enhance ad relevance, click-through rates, and conversions.

• Lead research into emerging trends and technologies in AdTech and machine learning, influencing our products and algorithms. Stay updated with industry and research developments, integrating new methodologies into our workflows.
• Serve as a subject matter expert, mentoring team members and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Expertise in modeling business problems with machine learning, including feature engineering, model selection, and optimization to deliver business value.
• Ability to mentor and collaborate effectively, enhancing team performance through deep understanding and experience.
• Extensive experience building and training complex neural networks using Python, Keras, TensorFlow, and TFX.
• Proficiency in SQL for data exploration and supporting machine learning development.
• Ability to write clean, production-ready code and set up environments for efficient testing and deployment.
• Experience deploying neural networks in live environments and collaborating with ML engineers on cloud platforms, ideally GCP.
