What's the role?

The Team:

We’re looking for a Senior User Researcher to join our dynamic User Research Team. As a close-knit group of UX research enthusiasts, we represent the voice of the user across all HERE products, driving user-centered innovation. We excel at hands-on user testing to validate product concepts, translating contextual research insights into actionable findings through user journey mapping, and facilitating design thinking workshops with diverse stakeholders. Collaborating closely with product management, design, and engineering, we tailor our research methods to meet the specific needs of each product. The Role:

In this role, you’ll lead research that informs the development of next-generation, location-centric technologies in automotive, mobility, and logistics — from navigation systems and ADAS to AI-powered experiences.

You’ll work in a fast-paced, project-based environment where initiative, autonomy, and cross-functional collaboration are key. This is a high-impact role for a technically-minded researcher who thrives in ambiguity and is passionate about shaping products that solve real user problems.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead end-to-end research for early-stage innovation projects across automotive and logistics domains.
  • Conduct contextual field studies, usability testing, and exploratory research to uncover user needs and behaviors.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to translate insights into product direction.
  • Support and coach product teams in applying user-centered design practices and running internal workshops.
  • Deliver clear, actionable insights through compelling storytelling and solution-oriented deliverables.
  • Advocate for the user across a distributed, global organization and help build a shared understanding of research value.
Who are you?

Our ideal candidate is dedicated to articulating the value of user needs and well-researched end-to-end user experiences. They have proven experience delivering both B2B and B2C products/solutions, ideally in the Automotive or Logistics Industry, and have worked in international and distributed organizations. Success in this role requires most of the following:

  • 5+ years of experience in user research, with at least 2 years in the automotive or logistics industry.
  • A Master’s degree in Human Factors, Social Sciences, Design Research, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a project-driven environment, managing multiple research initiatives.
  • Strong command of qualitative and quantitative methods, including field research, interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills—you’re confident setting up and leading research engagements.
  • Experience working in international, distributed teams and navigating complex B2B and B2C environments.
