Jobbeschreibung

Über uns Amazon Business represents an incredible opportunity to serve a vast new market segment and customer base. We are focused on building out a solution that enables business customers to find, compare, and buy from millions of items across multiple devices and marketplaces. Since 1994, Amazon has continuously expanded its product selection and innovated on behalf of customers in an ongoing effort to fulfill its stated ambition of being earth’s most customer-centric company. Since 2015, Amazon.com has started reinventing on behalf of the business customer and is focused on building Amazon Business, the largest and most innovative Business-to-Business (B2B) marketplace in the world. Our business customers include individual professionals, small businesses to large institutions (and everything in between). Our business customers have different needs than the traditional Amazon retail customers, and we are reinventing everything from how we display our selection to how we price and deliver products for customers and throughout the whole of the customer experience.

Position Summary: Strategic Adoption Managers (SAM) are responsible for owning & implementing transformation projects for large strategic accounts (businesses with annual revenues $2.5BN and more) to help these customers achieve procurement savings at scale through Amazon Business. If you want to roll up your sleeves and help shape the future of buying for business customers, this role could be the one for you! You will lead large-scale projects to analyze, define and implement innovative solutions for our B2B customers. You will also work closely with various internal Amazon teams to relay back customer needs and requirements, including Sales, Product Management, Category Management, and Amazon Leadership to drive and prioritize solutions for our largest customers.

You need to excel at project management, being able to coordinate a large number of stakeholders, plan, organize, and manage all phases of a project (e.g., project scoping, issue handling, risk management, escalation management). The ideal candidate enjoys problem solving on behalf of Customers, has experience working closely with senior stakeholders (C-Level), and has a proven track record of meeting and exceeding programme goals and revenue targets. The ideal candidate becomes part of a pan-EU team and is proficient in German and one of French / Italian / Spanish languages, next to English. Possible locations outside of Germany (Munich, Berlin, Hamburg) are London, Paris, Madrid, Milan, and Luxembourg.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze current purchasing processes for customers and evaluate opportunities for Amazon Business solutions to improve end-user experiences, reduce costs, and accelerate organization performance.
  • Drive and accelerate spend adoption through advising customers on best practices for using Amazon Business solutions.
  • Define requirements and scope program for utilizing AB solutions.
  • Oversee program execution including personnel assignment, project scheduling, and timely delivery.
  • Provide timely, clear, and complete communications to customer and Amazon Business Leadership.
  • Assess program risks, anticipate challenges, and provide escalation management when necessary.
  • Focus on automating service needs for customers and work with Product Management and Technical teams to develop solutions that will increase customer adoption.
  • Meet or exceed targets for customer and/or feature spend adoption.
  • Relay market needs and requirements back to internal Amazon teams including Product Management, Technical, and Category Management teams.
  • Engage with senior customer stakeholders from Director up to C-Level.

A day in the life: A typical day in the SAM role begins with a team meeting and checking customer emails. During the day, one juggles between managing external and internal expectations. The day involves strategizing, brainstorming, and dealing with uncertainties. Activities include:

  • Interacting with and consulting procurement leads of customer organizations to drive adoption of Amazon Business and implementing change management projects.
  • Developing ideas and building innovative solutions along with customers and partner teams.
  • Improvising on and setting processes inside the organization for new initiatives.
  • Spending time with sales teams to brainstorm and strategize the plan for the sales pipeline.
  • Getting involved in strategizing and writing planning documents for the upcoming quarters/year.

Grundqualifikationen:

  • BA / BS degree
  • 5+ Years B2B procurement, project management, consulting experience
  • English and German, plus one of Italian, French, or Spanish at C1+ level
  • Knowledge of Procure-to-Pay (eProcurement)
  • Superior communication skills – both oral and written
  • Proven analytical skills and ability to influence people both internally and externally
  • Decisive and able to move quickly to implement ideas
  • Proven ability to manage projects across multiple stakeholders and deliverables

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen:

  • Experience identifying trends and needs to improve large-scale technology deals
  • Experience in B2B or enterprise sales with a focus on hunting new business
