Position Summary

Strategic Adoption Managers (SAM) own and implement transformation projects for large strategic accounts (businesses with annual revenues of $2.5BN or more). They help these customers achieve procurement savings at scale through Amazon Business. If you're eager to shape the future of B2B purchasing, this role might be for you!

You will lead large-scale projects to analyze, define, and implement innovative solutions for our B2B customers. You will collaborate with internal Amazon teams—including Sales, Product Management, Category Management, and Leadership—to relay customer needs and prioritize solutions for our largest clients. Strong project management skills are essential to coordinate stakeholders, plan, organize, and manage all project phases, including scoping, issue handling, risk management, and escalation. The ideal candidate enjoys problem-solving for customers, has experience working with senior stakeholders (C-Level), and a track record of exceeding program goals and revenue targets.

The successful candidate will join a pan-EU team and be proficient in German and at least one of French, Italian, or Spanish, in addition to English. Possible locations include Munich, Berlin, Hamburg, London, Paris, Madrid, Milan, and Luxembourg.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Analyze current purchasing processes and identify opportunities for Amazon Business solutions to improve user experience, reduce costs, and enhance organizational performance.
  • Drive adoption of Amazon Business by advising customers on best practices.
  • Define requirements and scope programs utilizing Amazon Business solutions.
  • Oversee program execution, including personnel assignment, scheduling, and delivery.
  • Communicate clearly and promptly with customers and Amazon Business leadership.
  • Assess risks, anticipate challenges, and manage escalations.
  • Work with Product Management and Technical teams to automate service needs and increase customer adoption.
  • Meet or exceed targets for customer and feature spend adoption.
  • Relay market needs and requirements to internal teams.
  • Engage with senior customer stakeholders, including Directors and C-Level executives.
A Day in the Life

A typical day involves team meetings, managing customer emails, strategizing, and stakeholder engagement. Activities include:

  • Consulting procurement leads to drive adoption and manage change projects.
  • Developing innovative solutions with customers and partners.
  • Creating and refining internal processes for new initiatives.
  • Collaborating with sales teams on pipeline strategies.
  • Planning for upcoming quarters and years.
Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years in B2B procurement, project management, or consulting.
  • Proficiency in English, German, and at least one of Italian, French, or Spanish at C1+ level.
  • Knowledge of Procure-to-Pay (eProcurement).
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Decisiveness and agility in implementing ideas.
  • Proven project management experience across multiple stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience identifying trends to improve large-scale technology deals.
  • Background in B2B or enterprise sales, especially in new business acquisition.
