NOTE: This role is being filled to cover for a one year (12 month) personal leave.

Position overview:

You serve as the primary liaison between Ball and the client, focusing on the development and expansion of client's business with Ball’s PHC customers. Internally, you lead the alignment of strategy and resources across regions and functions to drive successful execution and achieve business objectives. Externally, you act as Ball’s external representative in discussions with customers, positioning Ball as an innovation leader and creating opportunities to grow Ball’s base business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with the client and Ball’s Commercial team to define key customer strategies; co-lead sales pitches and strategic meetings to secure business
  • Generate leads and meetings with C-Level and decision makers in line with growth plans and pre-identified priority accounts
  • Co-develop and execute pilot projects, ensuring alignment of resources across Ball's client, Ball, and customers to achieve successful outcomes
  • Lead negotiations related to cans/ends offerings, including volume and pricing, ensuring internal alignment across regions and functions
  • Partner with Ball’s Commercial team to integrate client into Ball’s joint business plans, commercializing the value we create and advancing Ball’s positioning as a solution provider and partner of choice
  • Partner with Ball’s Innovation team to secure support for compatibility testing, sample filling, and can filling processes
  • Collaborate with Ball’s Sustainability team to secure support for pre-identified priority areas such as data and analysis, insights on regulations and future trends, influence on DRS, representation at key events, etc.
  • Work with Marketing and Comms to define joint marketing and communication strategy, including participation in trade events
  • Acts as primary contact for execution-related inquiries, engaging the broader organization to address customer needs efficiently. Provide customer insight to inform growth strategy and innovation efforts
  • Identify and explore additional business opportunities with customers, to continue to expand Ball’s P&HC business, including new products and categories

  • Proven experience in key account management and working experiencewithin packaging or FMCG industry
  • Proven experience in business development, dentifying and securing high-value opportunities
  • Ability to drive business success and exceed financial targets
  • Strategic thinking to align customer strategies with company objectives
  • Execution skills that enable alignment and mobilisation of stakeholders internally and externally to deliver results
  • Proficient with market data, insights, and trends
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills across funcitons and geographies
  • Solution-focused mindset
  • Fluency in English
