Zusammenfassung

HOLY Softdrinks GmbH in Berlin is seeking a Senior Ingredient Sourcing Manager to own HOLY's end-to-end ingredient sourcing for our dry-powder portfolio. You will transition procurement to a HOLY-owned model, drive supplier strategy, cost efficiency, quality control, and supply continuity across suppliers, contract manufacturers, and partners.

This role blends strategic ownership with hands-on execution, collaborating across Supply Chain, Quality, Product, Finance, and Operations to scale HOLY's

Qualifikationen

  • 5+ years of experience in ingredient sourcing, raw-material procurement, strategic procurement, or supply-chain management.
  • Dry-blend expertise with ingredients for dry food, powdered beverage, premix, or similar.
  • Technical understanding of how ingredient specs and source changes affect blending, stability, and production.
  • Supplier qualification experience using specifications, CoAs, certifications, traceability, audits, samples, and quality documentation.
  • Strong negotiation skills across pricing, payment terms, MOQs, lead times, contracts, and service expectations.
  • Excellent project-management skills with a track record of cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills including cost models, forecasts, supplier comparisons, and market intelligence; ERP familiarity.
  • Ability to balance cost, quality, technical suitability, supply risk, and operational complexity.
  • Fluent written and spoken English; German at C1 is a plus.

Aufgaben

  • Develop and execute HOLY’s ingredient sourcing strategy, including supplier mapping, qualification, selection, negotiations, and contract finalization.
  • Build a reliable supplier network with backup and dual-sourcing options for key ingredients.
  • Drive supplier performance across cost, quality, service, innovation, and responsiveness through reviews and improvements.
  • Monitor ingredient markets, pricing trends, supplier landscapes, risks, and technologies; translate into recommendations.
  • Own recurring sourcing operations: forecasts, quantities, MOQs, call-offs, replenishment, and lead times.
  • Coordinate specs, samples, trials, and documentation with Quality, Product, and contract manufacturers.
  • Assess impact of ingredient changes on taste, blend performance, and manufacturability.
  • Lead end-to-end sourcing projects across cross-functional teams; track savings to COGS impact.

About the Position

As aSenior Ingredient Sourcing Manager, you will build and own HOLY’s end-to-end ingredient sourcing capability for our dry-powder portfolio. You will help transition procurement from a primarily contract-manufacturer-led model to a scalable, HOLY-owned sourcing model that improves cost efficiency, supply security, quality control, and operational flexibility. From supplier strategy and commercial negotiations to ingredient validation, supply continuity, and sourcing-process setup, you will create the operating model that enables HOLY to scale its product portfolio. This role combines strategic category ownership with hands‑on execution and close collaboration across Supply Chain, Quality, Product, Finance, Operations, contract manufacturers, and suppliers.

Responsibilities:
Supplier Strategy & Commercial Ownership
  • Develop and execute HOLY’s ingredient sourcing strategy, including supplier mapping, qualification, selection, negotiations, and contract finalization.
  • Build a reliable supplier network with appropriate backup and dual-sourcing options for key ingredients.
Supplier Development
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key ingredient suppliers and position HOLY as a preferred customer for strategic partners.
  • Drive supplier performance across cost, quality, service, innovation, and responsiveness through regular business reviews and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
Ingredient Market Intelligence
  • Continuously monitor ingredient markets, pricing trends, supplier landscapes, supply risks, and emerging technologies.
  • Identify new suppliers and ingredients and translate market developments into clear commercial recommendations.
Sourcing Operations & Process Setup
  • Own recurring sourcing operations, including forecasts, quantities, MOQs, call‑offs, replenishment, supplier capacity, lead times, and inventory risks.
  • Continuously improve procurement, supplier management, storage, logistics, and documentation processes, including the transition to HOLY‑owned ingredient sourcing where relevant.
Ingredient Validation & Quality
  • Coordinate specifications, samples, trial batches, sensory checks, stability testing, and supplier documentation with Quality, Product, and contract manufacturers.
  • Assess the impact of ingredient or premix changes on taste, appearance, blend performance, manufacturability, and product consistency.
Supply Continuity & Risk Management
  • Monitor supplier performance, availability, quality, pricing, and delivery risks, and implement mitigation plans where needed.
  • Establish suitable contingency measures, including backup suppliers, safety stock, and alternative sourcing routes.
Cross‑Functional Delivery & Savings
  • Lead sourcing projects end‑to‑end, aligning Supply Chain, Quality, Product/Formulation, Finance, Operations, contract manufacturers, and suppliers.
  • Identify and track savings from supplier changes, specification optimization, and improved purchasing terms through to realized COGS impact.
About You
  • Relevant experience: 5+ years of experience in ingredient sourcing, raw‑material procurement, strategic procurement, or supply‑chain management.
  • Dry‑blend expertise: Hands‑on experience with ingredients for dry food, powdered beverage, dietary supplement, premix, or other dry‑blend applications.
  • Technical understanding: Strong understanding of how ingredient specifications and source changes can affect powder blending, homogeneity, flowability, taste, appearance, stability, and production performance.
  • Supplier qualification: Experience qualifying suppliers and ingredients using specifications, CoAs, certifications, traceability, audits, samples, and quality documentation.
  • Negotiation strength: Strong negotiation skills across pricing, payment terms, MOQs, lead times, capacity commitments, contracts, and service expectations.
  • Project leadership: Excellent project‑management skills and a track record of driving complex, cross‑functional initiatives to completion.
  • Analytical and systems fluency: Strong analytical skills, including experience with cost models, volume forecasts, target prices, supplier comparisons, savings calculations, and market intelligence. Familiarity with ERP, procurement, inventory‑management, or supplier‑management systems, as well as advanced spreadsheet‑based analysis, is valuable.
  • Balanced decision‑making: Ability to balance cost, quality, technical suitability, supply risk, regulatory considerations, and operational complexity.
  • Language skills: Fluent written and spoken English; German at C1 level is a plus.
  • Additional experience: Bonus: Experience with functional ingredients, vitamins, amino acids, botanical extracts, flavor systems, complete premixes, or international supplier networks.

The Process
