Based in the Hannover area, we are looking for a Senior Exploration Geologist who will be a key member of the German Geosciences team responsible for the integration, interpretation and assessment of all subsurface data, in order to develop a comprehensive knowledge of the assets across the German portfolio and mature growth opportunities.

What you will do

• Deliver high quality subsurface Geological evaluations (including correlations, mapping at play and prospect level, depositional environments) through subsurface data integration and analysis in order to generate prospects for drilling.
• Develop comprehensive knowledge of relevant German Exploration licences to identify new exploration opportunities, define licence maturation plans and input to long range exploration plans.
• Detailed prospect analysis, volumetrics, uncertainty and risk assessments.
• Provide support to Production Assets to generate development opportunities
• Recommend drilling opportunities while ensuring their risk profile are in line with company strategy
• Drive the maturation of drilling proposals; including documentation, monitoring of operations, analysing results.
• Participate in Technical assurance reviews, partner meetings and mentoring of junior staff
• Review, evaluate and bid for Farm-in or Business Development opportunities as required in Europe
• Assess open acreage and recommend to apply for new Exploration licences

What you will bring

• Geoscience graduates, preferably with a Masters;
• High technical proficiency in Geology with 10+ years industry experience
• Strong background in Exploration required and experience in development projects
• Experience in structural geology, reservoir characterization and/or seismic interpretation
• Proficiency in English is required, knowledge of German a strong plus
• International experience would be preferred, with experience of German basins
• A strong team player, a good communicator who is self-confident and has the ability to take the initiative and show a creative approach
