About the Job:

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a crucial role in providing financial insights and thoughtful analysis to facilitate financial planning and decision-making processes.

Your main responsibilities include:

1. Assisting in the process for timely and accurate accounting (in accordance with US and local GAAP (HGB) guidelines) with associated reporting, while complying with all internal and legislated deadlines.
2. Creating and posting general ledger journal entries, reconciling accounts, and analyzing and maintaining the chart of accounts.
3. Preparing the US GAAP to Local GAAP (HGB) reconciliation and participating in the creation of the Local GAAP (HGB) annual financial statements.
4. Coordinating the ongoing process to monitor timely and accurate accounting, including the adequacy of assisting documentation.
5. Coordinating participation in the timely creation of complete and accurate account reconciliations for the general ledger accounts of all legal entities.
6. Participating in internal, external, and tax-related audits.
7. Documenting compliance with internal control processes (Sarbanes-Oxley) within the scope of responsibility and preparing and submitting statistics for the State Office/Federal Office of Statistics.
8. Representing the Senior Finance Manager/Plant Controller along with the Senior Finance Supervisor - Controlling.

We require:

1. Completed degree in economics (university/college) or comparable professional experience or training as a certified accountant.
2. 6-7 years of professional experience with US GAAP / HGB knowledge.
3. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
4. Good written and spoken English language skills.
5. Fluent German language skills.
6. SAP knowledge, preferably in the FI module, desirable CO SOX / internal control knowledge.
