HIMA Paul Hildebrandt GmbH in Brühl is seeking a talented software developer to join the SILworX team, focusing on Windows software for parameterisation of safety-critical control systems.

You will design, develop, verify and validate Qt-based applications, contribute to requirements in Polarion and collaborate across agile teams in a regulated environment, with English and German communication.

Competenze

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
• Degree in Computer Science or a comparable technical qualification.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Experience in cyber security and safety-critical environments.
• Fluent written and spoken German and English.

We are looking for a talented and experienced software developer to join our innovative team in SILworX development. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, verification and validation of Windows software for the parameterisation of our safety-critical control systems.

You will work closely with stakeholders, product owners and other team members to develop efficient, reliable, robust and high-performance software. In doing so, you will contribute your own ideas, challenge existing approaches and play an active role in shaping the further development of our solutions. The use of AI is encouraged and ready to be used.

Responsibilities

• Development and testing of Windows software based on Qt.


• Creating requirements and test cases in Polarion


• Working responsibly within development teams to solve complex tasks in a regulatory environment


• Improving infrastructure, software quality, testability, maintainability and reliability

Requirements

• At least 5 years’ professional experience in software development


• Strong programming skills in C++ and Python


• A Degree in Computer Science or a comparable technical qualification


• Ability to work as part of a team


• Experience in the field of cyber security


• Good written and spoken German and English
