Zusammenfassung

HIMA Group in Brühl is seeking a Principal Engineer for R&D System Test. You will review requirements, design and execute system tests, and drive test automation across safety-related automation solutions.

Responsibilities include coordinating system and integration tests, maintaining test environments, and contributing to test strategies in a cross-functional team. Strong knowledge of Python/Robot Framework and safety standards is essential.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or comparable qualification.
• In-depth experience in software design, testing methods and programming (ideally Python/Robot Framework).
• Knowledge of IEC 61508 and IEC 62443-4-X (functional safety and security).
• Experience with safety PLCs and industrial protocols (Profinet, Ethernet/IP, Modbus).
• Strong quality focus with a systematic, analytical approach.
• Experience with test management tools and version control (Polarion, SVN, Git).
• Ability to work in interdisciplinary teams and communicate technical content clearly.
• German and English proficiency, written and spoken.
