SiTime in München is seeking a Sr. Engineer, MEMS Assembly to lead and evolve MEMS packaging technologies for next-generation timing products. You will collaborate with back-end assembly partners, evaluate device performance, and ensure manufacturability and high yield.

The role requires a MS or PhD in engineering/physics and at least 5 years in MEMS assembly, with strong technical sense and cross-functional collaboration. A quarterly bonus and equity grants accompany base compensation.

Job Summary

As a Sr. Engineer, MEMS Assembly you will use your creativity and technical expertise to bring up and evolve MEMS packaging technologies for SiTime’s next-generation timing products. It is not necessary to meet all job requirements to be a qualified candidate for the position.

Responsibilities

• Manage and work closely with MEMS back-end assembly and packaging partners to develop, evolve, and troubleshoot cutting-edge MEMS wafer-level packaging technologies
• Evaluate impact of assembly processes on device performance and reliability and ensure high yield and quality.
• Work closely with MEMS design and characterization teams to ensure products are designed for manufacturability (DFM) and validated.
• Coordinate and perform failure analysis to characterize and debug assembly process impact on MEMS devices
• Define next generation packaging technologies to enable breakthrough timing products.
  
  

Qualifications & Requirements

• MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years industrial experience.
• Experience with MEMS assembly and packaging.
• A solid base in MEMS, including basic understanding of MEMS design and interactions between design, fabrication, and packaging.
• Experience with reliability characterization and yield analysis.
• Experience in bringing MEMS products to production is preferred.
