The IQVIA Cardiovascular Center of Excellence, a hub of clinical innovation, is growing! We are looking for exceptional Board-Certified physicians to join our team as a Medical Strategy Lead to help us expand our Cardiovascular portfolio and advance this dynamic and rapidly expanding area of clinical development.
The Role
The Cardiovascular Medical Strategy Lead is a subject matter expert with experience in clinical research and clinical trials who will champion Cardiovascular trials across IQVIA.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive growth of the IQVIA Cardiovascular portfolio through scientific and clinical expertise, developing innovative, data-driven, and patient-centered solutions.
- Provide senior clinical and scientific expertise across IQVIA divisions and collaborate with indication-specific teams to develop strategies for Cardiovascular trials.
- Engage in early business development activities, guiding sponsors in Cardiovascular development with scientific knowledge.
- Lead thought leadership activities, including presentations, publications, and scientific community interactions.
- Create evidence-based, patient-centered strategies for Cardiovascular trials tailored to customer needs.
- Contribute to proposals by providing scientific, clinical, and operational advice, including protocol design and clinical development planning.
- Support customer meetings and bid defenses with tailored content and presentations.
- Participate in business development, including client presentations and professional meetings.
- Stay informed on industry trends and support due diligence in the Cardiovascular landscape.
- Lead Cardiovascular scientific leadership activities at IQVIA, including publications and presentations.
Requirements
- Medical degree with experience in Cardiology from an accredited, recognized institution.
- At least 5 years of clinical research experience, including operational delivery or drug development.
- Strong knowledge of the scientific, clinical, regulatory, and commercial landscape in Cardiology.
- Excellent consultation, advice, and negotiation skills, with initiative and flexibility.
- Deep understanding of clinical research regulatory requirements such as GCP and ICH guidelines.
- Ability to understand customer needs, communicate effectively, and negotiate solutions.
- Strong clinical research skills and a commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered development.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills in English.
- Leadership skills, ability to work independently, and lead virtual teams.
- Strategic thinking, business acumen, and confidence with financial considerations.
- Technological proficiency with databases, internet research, and other media.
- Ability to make decisions with limited information and drive results.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues and clients, with mentoring skills.
