Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Energy Business Unit is driving innovation in next-generation energy networks that keep the power on. To support accelerated growth in high-paced Renewables (Solar, Wind) and Grid Hardening markets, we are seeking a dynamic, top-tier marketing leader to serve as Senior Director, Marketing & Customer Experience – Energy.

This role leads the global marketing team and is a key member of the commercial leadership team, responsible for innovating go-to-market strategies, strengthening market positioning, and evolving the customer experience strategy.

The ideal candidate is a highly collaborative, growth-oriented leader with strong commercial acumen, customer-centric planning expertise, and proven ability to connect product management, sales, and strategy to deliver measurable business impact.

Job Requirements

Strategic Growth & Positioning

  • Partner cross-functionally (strategy, business development/AFG, sales, product management) to build compelling value propositions and differentiated positioning.
  • Lead go-to-market strategy for new products, services, markets, and strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure global brand consistency across facilities, digital platforms, and all customer/distributor touchpoints.
  • Define brand strategies for M&A and support post-acquisition marketing integration

Customer Insights & Experience

  • Own and operationalize the BU’s Extraordinary Experiences for Targeted Customers (EETC) strategy to enhance journeys, loyalty, and NPS.
  • Lead voice-of-customer processes and leverage data-driven insights for segmentation and GTM optimization.
  • Integrated Channel Management
  • Drive partner/distributor channel marketing and enablement programs.
  • Lead digital marketing, including SEO, SEA, ABM, and eCommerce strategies.
  • Monitor and optimize channel performance and investment.

Trade Shows, Events & Field Marketing

  • Lead impactful global trade shows, events, and field marketing.
  • Optimize ROI through an integrated, tiered events strategy tied to campaigns and lead-to-cash processes.

Communications (Internal & External)

  • Lead BU-wide communication strategy to align employees and reinforce customer trust.
  • Manage internal communications (town halls, intranet, newsletters).
  • Oversee external PR, media relations, thought leadership, crisis communications, and investor messaging.
  • Establish TE as the recognized leader in electrification and connectivity.

Team Development & Transformation

  • Attract, develop, and retain top global marketing talent.
  • Adapt team structures to shifting priorities and support BU-wide transformation.
  • Partner with Sales on scaling an Inside Sales function.

Operational Excellence & Technology

  • Drive marketing operational efficiency, innovation, and accountability.
  • Leverage analytics to measure ROI and optimize investments.
  • Champion automation, AI/GenAI for scalability, personalization, and time-to-market.
  • Manage vendor/agency partnerships for cost efficiency and quality execution.

Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Collaborate across the BU, segment, and enterprise to scale best practices.
  • Serve on the TE-wide Marketing Operating Committee to shape enterprise-wide marketing direction.

Experience & Skills

  • 15+ years of B2B marketing experience, including 5+ years leading global marketing teams.
  • Proven leadership of marketing strategy for a $1B+ business.
  • Success in large, global, matrixed organizations with both direct and distribution GTM models.
  • Experience in North America, EMEA, and APAC.
  • Commercial transformation and M&A integration experience.
  • Strong track record in demand generation, ABM, and digital/eCommerce.
  • Courageous communicator with ability to challenge and influence senior leaders.
  • High-level conceptual thinker with strong problem-solving and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Fluency in English required
