We are looking for a dedicated team player who will work closely with the Sustainability Team to manage, coordinate and support the tasks of the local sustainability department and take an active role in the implementation and alignment of our medium and long-term sustainability goals.
The tasks of the position include:
- Monitoring, support and implementation of environmental and authorisation procedures.
- Coordination of recultivation measures.
- Participation in the administration and management of land and assets.
- Implementation of guidelines, regulations and strategies of the Corporate Sustainability Europe department.
- Supporting the Sustainability Manager in proactively engaging with local communities and key stakeholders.
- Development and support of initiatives to secure and improve the positive perception of the company by the public and stakeholders.
About you:
- Successfully completed studies related to environmental management, geography, mining, administrative law or a comparable specialisation.
- Ideally initial professional experience in the field of sustainability, environmental protection or permit management - career starters will also be given an opportunity.
- Interest and willingness to learn in the areas of environmental and nature conservation as well as mining law and authorisation procedures.
- Basic knowledge of GIS systems and reporting systems an advantage.
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills.
- Structured, organised and analytical way of working.
- High level of commitment, flexibility and ability to work in a team, willingness to travel.
- Good negotiation skills.
