Job Purpose / Role

We are looking for you! To support the growth of our Private Markets Platform, we are seeking to recruit a Specialist Private Debt Valuation (f / m / d) with a strong focus on valuation of direct private debt instruments as well as good programming skills to strengthen our Private Markets Investment Controlling & Valuation team in Munich or Frankfurt / Main with immediate effect. This position combines a broad range of responsibilities and focuses on the business line direct private debt instruments which is one of the pillars of the company's growing Private Markets segment.

You will report to our Head of Private Markets Investment Controlling & Valuation – Debt Strategies and will join an experienced team of experts in an international environment.

What you will do

• Conducting regular valuation of direct private debt instruments applying valuation methodologies like discounted cash flow approach and advanced pricing models for embedded optionalities
• Analysis of issue documentation of direct private debt instruments and their set-up (incl. appropriate yield and default curves) for valuation purposes in collaboration with the investment team and other stakeholders
• Continuously develop and improve process automation using programming languages like Python and SQL
• Implementation of direct private debt specific features in our proprietary pricing engine in C++ using QuantLib as well as new features in the HTML / Vue web front-end and Python back-end environment
• Running review and Life Cycle Management in cooperation with relevant stakeholders

What you bring

• University degree in Finance, Financial / Business Mathematics, Physics, etc. with a clear focus on valuation and analytical techniques
• Several years of working experience in a valuation function with focus on (private) debt instruments
• Sound technical background with familiarity in software development processes and technologies with programming skills in Python, C++, or other object-oriented language
• Proven experience with database querying, proficiency in scripting and automation for database tasks (e.g., SQL) as well as pricing libraries such as QuantLib or OpenRiskEngine
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and principles including solid experience in version control systems (e.g. git).
• Fluent in spoken and written English, good knowledge of German is a plus
