The multidisciplinary team of our business unit conforms to GMP standards and our architectural approach optimizes product, people, and waste logistics as well as energy efficiency. Among our many specializations, we perform logistical studies and Master Plans to make the facilities of our customers fit for the future.
Position Summary
Your role will be to team-up with the International and German Business Unit Managers for Life Science. Together we want Group-IPS to become the leader in Life Science Engineering, executing our Projects in 7D-BIM with the best available Project Management tools and executing the best available engineering technology.
As Project Manager of Group-IPS, you will have the responsibility for very diverse projects ranging in scale from small to large. The management of your project can include multiple phases and/or specializations, for example:
· Project feasibility: process description, plant layout, overall Time Schedule, procurement Strategy, financial plan
· Project preparation phase: investment analysis, basic engineering, permitting, financing and procurement.
· Project realization phase: project management; detailed engineering, construction management, commissioning management, operational management.
Responsibilities
The project manager supervises the daily operations and activities of the project such as project scheduling, resources allocations and project budget, technical alignment on a variety of equipment, facilities, utilities, components, products, and systems for a diverse client base of biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, cell & gene therapy manufacturers. He/she maintains and oversees the complete project process; prepares status reports to top management and assures that files are on schedule to meet the target defined for the projects. He/she establishes appropriate metrics for measuring key project criteria. The project manager also identifies and evaluates critical path activities needed by the project, analyzes contingencies and overcomes them by finding alternative courses of action. The Project Manager supervises and mentors team members, ensures that the project team is working efficiently and according to project objectives, goals, specifications, deliverables and timelines.
Requirements
Qualifications
· Master of Engineering or equivalent.
· Proven experience with international engineering projects within the Pharmaceutical industry.
· Experience with training and mentoring junior staff members
· Ability to work with diverse, multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural groups
· Ability to effectively communicate with management and project team members
· Must possess excellent writing and verbal skills in German and English.
· Ability to speak French or a central European language is an advantage
