A growing Japanese machinery company in the Netherlands is currently recruiting a Spare Parts Sales and Marketing Manager for their office in Almere. This role focuses on promoting their fast-growing excavator aftermarket parts business.
The successful candidate will develop the spare parts business, support dealer after-sales capabilities, and lead a team to ensure high service quality and client satisfaction, aiming for profitable, cost-efficient operations.
The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of spare parts sales and marketing, with management experience in the machinery industry or a related field. Knowledge of Japanese culture and language skills would be advantageous.

Responsibilities include:
- Set and propose annual parts sales targets and action plans by region.
- Lead and motivate regional sales representatives.
- Analyze market prices and stay competitive.
- Promote local parts sourcing.
- Develop sales and marketing strategies using analysis methods.
- Evaluate performance with KPIs and report periodically.
- Manage accounts receivable.
- Improve work processes through systematization.
- Collaborate with marketing, dealers, suppliers, and other departments to optimize sales and resolve issues.
- Manage inventory levels and make recommendations for optimization.
Required skills:
- Finished HTS/University level education in Mechanical, Civil Engineering, IT, Data Science, or HBO/HEAO in Marketing or Business Administration.
- At least 10+ years of experience in machinery or automotive parts sales, marketing, inventory management, or customer support.
- 3+ years of team leadership experience.
- Global perspective and storytelling skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency in SAP is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills across cultures.
- Deep understanding of Incoterms and logistics processes.
- Willingness to travel within Europe.
- Near-native English proficiency; knowledge of German, French, or Italian is advantageous.
