Your responsibility as the Solution Specialist for Medical Device Software Development is to offer advice and support to clients in the medical technology and life science sectors throughout the initiation and realization of software development projects. You offer your expertise on every step of the way, starting from the technical concept and ending with the implementation of ground-breaking medical devices that shape the market.

Your tasks include:

• Creating client presentations, project concepts, offers, and other materials for client communication and gaining new clients
• Advising clients on the definition and design of successful products for their industry, the technical implementation of their solutions and the successful implementation of projects
• Establishing new software development projects and taking on the role of technical leader for project teams in the early stages of new projects
• Producing expert publications and presentations for industry-specific media and events
• Trustworthy collaboration and relationship building with decision-makers at client organizations
• Identifying the requirements, obstacles, and potential solutions in the client's organization

You should also have:

• Extensive experience in the IT field as a software architect, developer, or consultant for several years
• A background in the medical technology or life science industry
• Experience overseeing software development teams in a technical leadership role
• Expertise in creating, developing, documenting, and ensuring the quality of software solutions for medical devices
• Experience in software development for Linux and Windows using C++, C#, .NET, embedded and desktop applications
• Preferably experience with interoperability protocols for medical devices (e.g., SDC / gRPC / MQTT)
• Additional experience in application technologies such as cloud solutions, web apps, IoT, mobile apps, and programming languages like Java, TypeScript, Python
• Knowledge of medical standards such as HL7 FHIR, DICOM, IEEE 11073 SDC, and industry standards like ISO 13485, IEC 62304
• Hands-on experience with agile development methodologies (SCRUM) and technical project infrastructure setup
• Understanding of cybersecurity requirements in healthcare
• Strong stakeholder management and coaching skills
• Proficiency in English and preferably German
• Willingness to travel
• Client orientation, sales affinity, and business development skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with a professional demeanor
• Self-directed, responsible working style
