DP World is growing! We have exciting opportunities for Solutions Engineers (f / m / d) of all levels to join our expanding business across Germany and Austria due to significant growth and contract wins.

The primary focus of these roles will be to develop solutions for prospective customers within the Contract Logistics space, analyzing customer information and designing tailored solutions. You should be experienced in creating concepts for formal customer proposals, including process flow diagrams, automation processes, and facility layouts, especially in complex cases.

These roles involve periods of significant travel across Germany, Austria, and Europe, so flexibility to travel is essential.

About the role

• Identify, develop, and nurture new customers and sales activities with existing clients, including beneficial cargo owners and freight companies.
• Design supply chain and contract logistics solutions, from large-scale geographical optimization to detailed process and station design, as part of RFQ processes.
• Collaborate closely with Business Development, Account Management, Launch, and Operations teams during solution development.
• Present technical solutions to customers through proposals, calls, and presentations alongside account management.
• Develop RFQ concepts into detailed designs after award, during the launch phase.
• Support and lead the engineering elements of new business launches, including data creation, process validation, infrastructure works, onboarding, and contractor management.
• Serve as an interface between regional functions and other business areas as needed.
• Ensure engineering aligns with operations and support functions during RFQ and launch phases.
• Translate operational briefs into defined solution proposals and implement them into live operations.
• Contribute to regional and global initiatives and update existing processes as required.
• Provide data to demonstrate individual and team contributions to the business.
• Act as a trouble-shooter, identify issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Work independently on any site, ensuring engineering obligations are met as directed by regional management.
• Support training and development of plant-based engineering teams and embed regional standards.
• Perform root cause analysis and corrective measures as needed.
• Be a Subject Matter Expert in engineering processes, tools, and techniques, including MTM, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Excel.
• Perform any other activities within the scope and capability of the role to support engineering or operations.

Your Key Skills :

• Experience in Solutions Design for 3PL/4PL or Freight Forwarding services.
• Effective communication skills across all levels.
• German language proficiency at B2 level minimum; additional European languages are a plus.
• Ability to understand client needs and advocate within the engineering team.
• Data analysis skills to derive conclusions from complex information.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas), Word, Visio, Project Management software, and AutoCAD for designing solutions in 2D and 3D.
• Project management and operational experience.
