What will I be doing

Following the rapid growth of our customer base, Darktrace is looking to expand our team of Solutions Engineers. These fast-paced, technical, and customer-facing roles support our sales teams in meeting customer needs.

You will use your expertise to provide technical pre-sales and post-sales support, partnering with Account Executives and Customer Success Managers to drive revenue growth and promote the adoption of our products. These roles offer accelerated career development and numerous opportunities for personal growth. You’ll receive extensive training and support to build upon your existing skills.

You’ll be the primary technical contact between clients, partners, and internal teams, providing your passion and expertise on our cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions to become a trusted advisor. Your technical excellence will be highly valued as you meet client and team needs, ultimately increasing revenue and client satisfaction. Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with sales teams to meet with clients throughout the sales process, responsible for delivering Proof of Value (POV) engagements.
  • Presenting Threat Intelligence Reports and advice to diverse audiences, from technical teams to C-level executives.
  • Designing and building custom client integrations and defining solution architectures.

What experience do I need

We welcome applications from candidates with a technical background and existing sales engineer experience in pre-sales or post-sales roles.

This role may also suit technical graduates with a degree in computer science or similar, seeking a challenging technical client-facing position that bridges technology and business.

Ideally, you’ll have a strong interest in cybersecurity and knowledge of network and security devices/systems (Cisco, Juniper, Firewalls, IDS, IPS, SIEM), as well as TCP/IP and common networking protocols. You will likely possess:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills (written and verbal) and the ability to communicate complex technical information compellingly.
  • The ability to work collaboratively in an innovative, fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
  • The ability to build long-lasting business relationships.
  • Fluency in English and German is essential.
