The Solution Architect plays a critical leadership role in ensuring that the GEP SMART solution design is cohesive, scalable, and aligned with the client’s business objectives, enterprise architecture, and technical standards. As the technical and functional design authority across modules, the Solution Architect bridges the gap between business needs, platform capabilities, and technical constraints to deliver an integrated and future-ready solution.
This role is responsible for owning the end-to-end solution architecture, validating module configurations, reviewing integrations and dependencies, and supporting governance through design assurance and sign-off processes.
Key Responsibilitie
- Lead the definition of the end-to-end solution architecture across GEP SMART modules
- Ensure cross-module consistency, interoperability, and alignment with enterprise architecture standards
- Validate functional designs, configuration decisions, and integration touchpoints
- Collaborate with functional consultants, integration teams, and client architects to ensure cohesive design
- Identify technical constraints, risks, and dependencies early in the design lifecycle
- Review and contribute to the data model, workflows, security design, and interface structures
- Own the solution design decision log and participate in design governance and review forums
- Provide architecture guidance throughout configuration, testing, and deployment phases
Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of experience in solution architecture, enterprise architecture, or large-scale system design
- Deep understanding of SaaS platforms and their integration within enterprise ecosystems
- Experience designing solutions for Procurement, Sourcing, P2P, Contract Management, or SRM platforms (GEP SMART preferred, or comparable platforms like iValua, Ariba, SAP, Oracle)
- Proven ability to work across functional, technical, and business teams
- Experience with integration architecture, including API design, middleware, and security protocols
- Strong understanding of data models, workflows, and access controls
- Familiarity with cloud architecture, multi-system environments, and enterprise IT governance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with GEP SMART implementation projects
- Certifications in architecture or cloud platforms (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect)
- Exposure to Agile, hybrid, or Waterfall delivery models
- Strong familiarity with enterprise security models, GDPR compliance, and data privacy best practices
