We are looking for a Solution Architect – Operational Technology (x|f|m) for the Manufacturing IT department at Sartorius Corporate Administration GmbH.

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our operational technology (OT) landscape. You will design and implement innovative OT architecture solutions to ensure secure, scalable, and efficient production environments.

This position is available for full-time. It is a hybrid role requiring some days on site at our headquarters in Göttingen with the opportunity to work some days remotely.

• You will develop holistic OT architecture concepts to support manufacturing processes - focusing on scalability, reliability, and strategic alignment with the company's goals.
• You will be responsible for defining and modeling end-to-end architectures for production systems, including the integration of systems, machines, and IoT devices.
• You will design secure network architectures based on the IEC62443 zone and conduit model to ensure a protected and efficient flow of data between machines, plants, and buildings.
• The continuous optimization and maintenance of OT systems is also part of your area of responsibility, including error analysis, troubleshooting, and planning system upgrades.
• You will implement security guidelines and ensure compliance with them to secure the OT infrastructure according to current standards and best practices.

What will convince us

• A degree in information technology, computer science, or comparable training with relevant professional experience.
• Sound experience in designing and implementing OT architectures, ideally in an industrial or production-related environment.
• Confidence in dealing with production systems such as PLC, SCADA, or MES, and knowledge of communication protocols like OPC UA and MQTT.
• In-depth knowledge of network technologies such as VRRP, WLAN, NAC, PPTN, PUTN, 802.1X, HSRP, MPLS, or BGP.
• Practical experience with Microsoft and Linux server OS administration and virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-V.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Excellent written and spoken German and English skills for working in an international environment.
